I Can See A Rainbow

We had intermittent drizzle and sun on Loughrigg Fell today but our micro nav practice was pretty good and the views of all the surrounding lakes and trees were just as glorious as ever.

This rainbow was a treat as were the Waxcaps I'm hoping to post as an extra. I'm pretty sure they're Scarlet Waxcaps, (Hygrocybe coccinea) as they match the picture on first-nature.com, but there are several red ones with which they can be confused.

It was Dawn's birthday today so at 'coffee time' I surprised her with a Victoria Sponge Muffin complete with candle. It was too windy to light it but the cake tasted good!
