Bread and butter

We don't tend to have bread and butter with our meals..... But since son #2 had his cardiac arrest he is struggling to put on weight! He eats and eats and eats but mainly high protein and healthy food and for months remained at 70kg (not enough for someone his height!) He tried high calorie protein drinks and even had 'ensure' on prescription...without success !

So we introduced three slices of bread and butter with his cooked evening meal and lunch and just after a week his weight has crept up to 72kg... The aim is another 5 kg!!

I'm quite envious in a way, though we eat pretty healthily and it would really go against the grain to eat all the bread, cakes and meals he consumes at the moment ....
