Lakes Alive: Water Fools

As part of the Olympic celebrations, the Theatre by the Lake, Keswick, hosted a French production called "Water Fools", on Derwentwater, just by Crow Park. It was a spectacle of the weirdest things I've ever seen, and was described as:

A mans humdrum life is turned upside-down when his head inexplicably bursts into flames and a kalaedoscope of extraordinary visions appear."

I think I lost the plot about 30 seconds into the hour-long show, (along with every other spectator), but it was an amazing thing to see. It included a fiat 500 driving across the lake, warring demons and angels, a floating tree and bed, a 5-metre high queen on a Penny farthing (with a guy in a giant hamster cage ) etc.

The pic is of the floating bed and tree, with the red smoke from the battle between angels and demons in the background!

Brilliant night - like being on the weirdest trip ever!
