MONO MONDAY—CULTURAL
In the midst of the dreaded lurgy, I ran out to the grocery to pick up a few necessities and snapped a few shots just to have something to post. The more I looked at this one, the more it fascinated.

The cashier is absorbed in his multi-screened device, and he looks as though he has rays coming out of his head, like a robot.

The customer is involved with his own device. There is no human exchange here. It all takes place mediated by machines.

Each person in the background is alone and isolated.  Another meaning of "mono"?
