Back on the allotment

This morning started with a brisk session of mulching and green manure seed sowing on the very windy allotment at Uni.

Great fun nonetheless. We also had a guest lecturer from a rape seed farm followed by a tasting - managed to snaffle a bottle of oil to take home which we used to cook our steaks with tonight. It's a hard life being a gastronaut.

In other news looks like the chickens are moulting - feathers are flying and no eggs for a couple of days now, a bit earlier than last year - looks like shame eggs will be on the menu soon.
