Esteemed.

Another bloody brilliant day; this time cerebral instead of visual stimulation as I attended the CIWEM* conference on sustainable phosphorus use**.
This is pretty much as learned as it gets on a single subject and the energy, passion, professionalism, vision and downright intellect on show was absolutely humbling. People like these, who devote careers to scientific and ecological advancements (often in the face of fucking deplorable interference and shite governmental policy leadership) are my absolute heroes.
Others have sportsmen, armed forces, services personnel or *shudder* slebs as role-models (all admirable apart from the last lot) but for me these are the heroes. I love them.

Plus I got a shitload of CPD points to ensure I finally go from Practitioner to full MIEMA, MCIWEM and CEnv status this Winter.

As for the venue; can you just imagine the minds that have graced this place? Look at that list! Phew.
