Hello, there

I didn't intend to blip a squirrel.

I wanted a quiet wander around Elford Hall Gardens, hoping that the kingfisher would venture on to his perch. I sat for ages in the Boat House, which is now such a beautiful bird hide, and it was peaceful indeed.

Unlike my garden where goldfinches, greenfinches, sparrows, a robin and all sorts of tits are plundering the feeders as quickly as I can fill them, I found my solitude.

And then suddenly, a great tit appeared on the feeder. The squirrel came out of hiding and actually saw off the bird, and then sat on the log near to me to nibble away.

Thank you, little friend.
