Consigned to the past

The sign on the side of this old building by the Foss is all that remains of the best hardware store York has ever had. If you needed something in the way of tools, screws, nails etc. you could get it there; and you didn't have to buy a pack, just the number you actually required. An old store that is greatly missed! There is a new listing for this firm on one of the industrial estates - will have to investigate further.
