Clusters

Clusters of flowers raised on clusters of stems yield clusters of fruit, creating clusters of new agave.  Nondescript, but still beautiful, pale yellow flowers burst forth along the gracefully arched stem of an agave flower spike.  Unfortunately, some of the landscapers around here aggressively prune the spikes back!  It breaks my heart to see a beautiful flowering plant reduced to a clump of green leaves.
