A sum too far!

Poor old Leo - the final sum caused him a real headache. He ended up in tears struggling with it. I showed him how he could work it all out but I think he was too frazzled by that point to take anything in.

This is their new approach to Maths homework - the Shanghai Method apparently - I must look that up. So instead of weekly homework, they get daily homework and they must do the MUST sum but the SHOULD and COULD are optional. I told Leo to do all three each day and he was fine until he attempted this one - it is a bit tricky - I needed pen and paper to figure it all out.

Apart from the trials of maths homework he had a good day and is off to a friend's birthday tea on Thursday after school so that will cheer him up.
