Trying To Decide

I spotted this alligator just as he crawled up out of the marsh then laid down on the edge of the causeway trying to decide if he wanted to walk right across the road or not.
Many people think gators won't walk out into roads but they sure do.
After a few minutes of thought, this sneaky boy decided against the roadway stroll and turned around and went back into the water.
By the way...this is a wild alligator living and photographed in the wild, not a zoo or captive animal.
