Last transect

This morning I walked the butterfly transect for the last time this year. Not much to record and this tattered small copper seemed to sum it up. Its been a poor year on my transect, sightings are down around 30% on last year which was a fairly poor year anyway. I've recently been asked to take on an additional transect for next year. Its a new transect and is on acid grassland rather than in woodland so should be an interesting contrast. .
