To Rut or Not to Rut

Up and out of the house for 6:20am!  The fog this morning was incredible which made walking around the deer park even more fascinating and also a little unnerving in terms of not being able to see if you are about to walk into a herd or indeed into a rut (we were on footpaths but I doubt very much that deer pay attention to such rules!!!).

The sounds the deer / the big boys were making was simply stunning and made all the more mysterious by the gloom and fog of the morning.  A fantastic sound and right up there with the Lion I heard in South Africa one time. (more pics in extras).  We were also lucky to see two white males run in front of us.

We got back to the car for 9am and decide that we had walked enough (3.5miles) to have breakfast at Loch Fyne.  Yummy.   Once we were full of tea and food we thought we would make the most of our morning and headed into town as Chris needed another new suit.  M&S was nice and quiet - just how I like to shop.  We were all finished by the time the shopping center was really starting to fill up.

Home now and this afternoon will be spent relaxing.
