Quod oculus meus videt

Early Light, Buttermere

Popped out early to Buttermere with Rainie.  I really had no expectations, though it was supposed to be calm so there was the possibility of reflections in the water.  In the end we had a wonderful half an hour or so and the 'icing on the cake' was the light that came through Honister Pass and lit the far shore line for a few minutes.  We even had cloud above the sun providing contrast higher up the fell.

I dropped Rainie off at Penrith Station to start her epic journey back home.  We still took the chance to pop in at Castlerigg Stone Circle on the way.  I'm now back home and can't shake off headaches.  Possible a sign I'm fighting some ailment.  Still wouldn't have missed the opportunity to pop up and see Rainie.
