... like son. Except, as I will happily and regularly point out to +1/3: his paper round is way shorter than mine was. I mean, he can walk it in 30 minutes. By 'eck, when I were a lad there was a foot of snow on my first day*, you had to cycle it and the route was about 3 miles long, up hill and down dale glen. 

As it was his first round I tailed him around to make sure he was okay and the route wasn't too bad.

* no, really. Unseasonably and for the first time in many years it actually snowed in Largs. 1986 I guess.
