International Red Cross

This is taken in the memorial at Solferino in Lombardy Italy, 10km south of Lake Garda.
In 1859 the Battle of Solferino between France & Austria took place and ultimately led to the founding of the Red Cross & Geneva Convention thanks to Henry Dunant the 1st recipient of the Nobel Peace Prize.
I think I must have had mumps the week this battle was dealt with in history at school - I can't remember this at all.
I will save a description of the contents in the memorial - Gruesome but some good came out of it.
