Tatton Park

While Anniemay and her niece Liz were off on their 41.8km bike ride starting and finishing ride in Tatton Park, I wandered around said park for a couple of hours with Liz’s husband Gareth.  It was beautiful day and a beautiful park.

With more family members to greet the heroines at the finish, we rounded off the event with a big pub lunch for one and all.

Then Anniemay and I left to drive home and got stuck in a traffic jam.  A big accident on the M6 and local roads for miles around were jammed with traffic trying to avoid the motor way.  It took us an hour and a half to drive 11 miles.  

We made the best of it by heading across country through the Peak District National Park and Derbyshire.  Wow.  Absolutely stunning scenery and we made a promise to ourselves to come back to this area as soon as we could.  

So all in all, a good day.
