Balanced on the edge

When in Venice you have to try a gondola, but, at €80 it's bloomin' expensive so here's a little tip. Head toward Academmia, near the Peggy Guggenheim collection and there are some gondolas that do a quick thirty-second crossing for just €2 - bargain and a box ticked.

You get to see the gondoliers balanced on the edge of their craft decked out in their red and white t-shirts, unfortunately, no Cornetto's!
