Grebe

Mono Monday - Roots.
My late brother in law was always on the look out for old tree roots that vaguely resembled something. Any that he found would be helped on their way, without actual carving, usually with just sandpaper and polish.
This I always thought of as a pair of grebe, another that I have looks like a kingfisher.
