Roots

After Holly dog died at the end of July, our neighbour - who is a very good potter - made us this head stone for Holly's grave.  Alistair made an oak frame for it and we finally put it in place yesterday afternoon having planted all the crocus bulbs.  Although it all felt rather final, and very sad, we think it is a lovely thing and very fitting to mark Holly's resting place.

It also kind of fits the brief for today's Mono Monday challenge - as I feel that Holly, in her own way, is helping the roots of our apple and pear trees to do well as they are growing just there.  Many thanks to Dollykgrey for hosting the challenge.
