Sea Swim

Had our end of summer season sea swim with Chalkwell Redcaps today. Although it was meant to be a bit of fun there were a few who took it quite serious. We went off in six waves. Over 80 swimmers took part. I came 8th. Not bad considering I went off course and a lifeguard had to paddle after me and send me in the right direction.
We also did a fun relay. I think the team I got into came 3rd but I can't be sure. We finished the day with fish and chips which was very nice for sure.
Winter swim season starts end of October. I've got to start going in in skins. That means no wetsuit. All part of my channel swim training.
