Mystery At The 14th

Bizarrely, given that our course isn't normally given to ornamentation, this animal statue has turned up on the 14th tee. There was some discussion as to what sort of animal it's meant to be*.

Maybe it was gazing benignly on my game as I managed to keep my twitch under control for most of the round and play to handicap: *perhaps my golf is getting a little 'otter!
