The 1066 March

Not a great shot but a rather nice looking chap in this photo turned up at our village today dressed up as a warrior for the re-enactment of the Battle of Hastings. It was 950 years to the day when the warriors marched through Linton on their way to Hastings from York.

Many of us only had about an hour's notice - apparently the English Heritage have been liaising with the wrong Linton somewhere in the UK... It's a shame we weren't given plenty of notice as I am sure more people would've turned up.
