From Stephen to Avenham

We attended the afternoon performance of 'From Stephen to Avenham' in Gisburn Forest near Slaidburn. Therre's loads of info about it on their website, and the second part of the performance will be in Preston in September - I highly recommend getting down to see it if you live nearby.

The performance took place in a chapel and a barn, with the audience walking through the forest between locations. The elaborate set in the barn was especially amazing and unexpected - and the whole afternoon was entertaining and charming... and you could tell by the smiling faces of the audience that we weren't the only ones who thought so. The piece was devised and acted by a mix of local young people, and Dutch theatre company PeerGroup.
