Waiting for Dad!

This is Corky who we are looking after today!  And this is where he has spent quite a lot of the day, near the place where he last saw his dad - by the back door!  Today is a trial run for an overnight stay later in the month so hopefully he won't have found it too stressful and he'll come back again.

Corky's story is heartbreaking.  He was found in a van which had been left in a scrapyard and which was about to be squashed flat.  Luckily, someone in the yard heard Corky whimpering and so they opened the van to find this bedraggled, mud-covered little creature.  It doesn't bear thinking about really.  It was only when they washed the little chap did anyone realise he had some white fur - he was so completely covered in mud and muck.  Anyway, to cut a long story short, he was taken home and looked after by Mike's son (Mike is Dad) but he was out all day working, so Corky eventually ended up with Mike and Jenny, who live near us.  He is a dear little chap but obviously missing his dad a lot!  Maybe when he comes back he will feel a bit more settled.  This boarding school is not too bad really!!
