Getting the sparkle back

Alnmouth from Church Hill

Taken on our walk south from Alnmouth along the Northumberland Coastal Path. Church Hill used to be part of Alnmouth, but a storm in 1806 caused the River Aln to change its course, cutting this part of the village off from the rest. We had glorious sunny weather today, although it was definitely autumnal, with a cool breeze.

The extra photo is of Warkworth Castle which dates back to the 12th century.
