Fallen Leaves

Sheffield Park: I took a stroll in the Garden early this afternoon, after a vigorous but highly rewarding shift as a NT Volunteer with the Parkland Team.

The autumn colours are really starting to appear now: the sharply-pointed leaves of an American Oak are seen here on one of the paths close to the Gardeners' Compound, while elsewhere in the garden (see today's 'Extra'), some seasonal debris has been captured by the needles of one of the Pines.
