Look at the size of this!

This is the remnant of a huge New Forest runway built for the RAF to protect the south coast during WW2. There's lots of evidence of these sites around, and most of them are overgrown, such as the one in the extras where the horses are grazing, but there are still runways of various sizes and shapes still to be seen.
