View from the hill

We used the ATV today to ride up the hill that is behind the house..the one that is in most of the other photos taken from the deck.  We then proceeded to walk about 2 miles so I could take various photos of the creek and the mountains across the road.

This gives a really good perspective of how huge and high the mountains are plus a view of the creek the winds around below the house.  This view is probably about a half mile vista going from left to right.  The mountain across the way is probably a mile or two from the house.  I have hiked up in this area....once! Luckily it was all downhill coming back!
