Kirstenbosch Gardens.

We could have done a trip to Stellenbosch to taste the wines, but intact we visited instead, the Kirstenbosch Botanical gardens. And how beautiful was that. In the photo you will see the King Protea which is South Africa's National Flower. The Strelitzia, or Bird of Paradise, and a gorgeous little Male Lesser Double Collared Sunbird. At first I though it was a humming bird, but no, this little beauty was feeding on the Leucospermum. They were so quick I was surprised that I managed to get a photo at all. The weather was once again spectacular. 34 degs.!
