The sun put in an appearance late in the day giving that great light you get the further North you are.

Although Sandwick / Lerwick are the same latitude as Bergen, Norway's colours are so much deeper than they are here. I think the shelter that much of Norway gets from the mountains makes a huge difference even as far North as Trondheim.
