Time out of context

Weithiau, pan dw i'n cwrddais i rywun mewn lle annisgwyl, dw i ddim yn gallu cofio pwy ydyn nhw am funud.  Os dw i'n cwrdd â chydweithiwr pan dyn ni'n ar ei gwyliau, neu os dw i'n ffeindio ffrind yn ymweld â fy lle gwaith... Rhywbeth fel 'na.

Heddiw es i i'r Hen Lyfrgell sy'n Ganolfan Cymraeg nawr.  Dych chi'n gallu mynd yna i ymarfer eich Cymraeg oherwydd pob aelod o staff yn ddwyieithog.  Es i i fyny i'r Caffi i gael paned a chacen a ro'n i'n synnu i weld rhywun sy'n edrych fel Iwan Hughes (gitarydd a chanwr gyda Cowbois Rhos Botwnnog) yn gweithio y tu ôl i'r cownter...

Ar gyntaf do'n i ddim yn siŵr, felly gofynnais i, ac roedd e. Dw i ddim yn gwybod beth roedd e'n feddwl am y cwestiwn! Dw i ddim yn gwybod os mae e'n enwog yng Nghaerdydd, neu anhysbys.  Ond, dw i'n gwybod nad oeddwn i ddisgwyl cwrdd â chanwr mewn band llwyddiannus yn gweithio mewn caffi.

Sometimes, when I meet someone in an unexpected place, I can't remember who they are for a moment. If I meet a colleague when we're on holiday, or if I find a friend visiting my work place ... Something like that.

Today I went to the Old Library which is now a Welsh Language Centre. You can go there to practise your Welsh because all the staff are bilingual. I went up to the cafe to have coffee and cake and I was surprised to see someone who looks like Iwan Hughes (guitarist and singer with Cowbois Rhis Botwnnog) working behind the counter.

At first I was not sure, so I asked, and it was him.. I do not know what he thought about the question! I do not know if he's famous in Cardiff, or unknown. But, I know that I didn't expect to meet the singer in a successful band working in a cafe.
