Landing

Our hotel has an awesome view of San Diego from the rooftop terrace, especially when airplanes are landing. From this perspective it looks as if the incoming jets are threading their way through the city skyscrapers. In reality I'm certain there is a clear flight path direct to the primary runway. As I watch plane after plane touchdown, however, I keep expecting one make some radically evasive maneuver to avoid plowing into one of the city structures.
