Avoch

Another stunning day once the fog had lifted. Down to 3.5 degrees in the early morning but by mid morning it was very warm and I sat outside in short sleeves drinking tea. Mike needed his haircut so off to Avoch we went. I wandered round the harbour while I waited. Beautiful, stunning colours and the sea was so calm. The houses reflected in the still water, two men with their dogs chatted at the end of the pathway. A young child was building sandcastles in a small patch of sand while his Dad took photos of the birds flying overhead.
After we picked up some lunch we went to the Point and walked round to the seats near the lighthouse. The sun disappeared behind a cloud for a while and the temperature dropped. Juvenile Gannets were diving in front of us, eager dolphin watchers lined the shingle bank with huge lens focused in the distance. I did nt see anything but the tide was on the turn so they may have been lucky after we left.
