Water logged

Christchurch is very wet, after 150mm of rain in the last couple of days. There have been gusts of wind up to 90km per hour today, and the 5pm temperature is 8c. Some roads are closed, as the quake affected drainage system cannot cope.

The tiny placid river of three days ago has now increased in volume and makes a crashing waterfall noise. The run-off from up the hill has caused the discolouration.

More rain is forecast.
