Bowood 2016 #34 (Thursday 6th October 2016)

I tried a different walk on the Bowood estate on Thursday afternoon, starting at the visitor's car park but doubling back through The Osprey grounds and woodland of Bassett's Moor, as I have the horsefly bites to prove, to reach the public footpath that follows the edge of the golf course with Brick Kiln Wood behind it as far as the Mile Elm turning. I didn't reach the heronry again as the light was dull and I had the wrong lens on the camera, but along the way I'd seen a pony in a paddock, and these logs in Osprey Yard on the way back, quite near the car, at about 1710 hr, and was soon heading home.
