Another Grand Day Out

Out and about in Almeria No.10

Roquetas de Mar, Felix and Enix

Today with my Photography Mentor and his wife we headed out to Roquetas de Mar, along the Coast towards Almeria.   To the Bullring there, which is a fairly new build about 2003.   We  went around the Museum and took photos of the exhibits, omitting the more gorey pictures.   However, we were taken with the detail of the Martadors' clothing and the main picture is a close up of the beautiful stitching.   Probably done by hand I would think.   I love all the Pagentry of the Bullfight but not the actual fight.   Unfurtunately we were too early to go in the arena as it was being cleaned and would not be open until 5.00pm.

However, after a coffee stop we drove on to Felix up in the mountains and drove around La Envia Golf Complex - purpose built into the hillside (see extra).

From there up further to Enix village - a small quaint white village where we had drinks and tapas for lunch, a stroll around and then back down to Roquetas and on to the Nature Park where we managed to see some young Flamingoes but too far away to take good shots, a Marsh Harrier (extra), a Kestrel and some Egrets.   Lovely and peaceful out there.
