Looking for Red

Passing a nearby park, l broke my journey to see how red, the leaves on the avenue of trees, had turned.
It seems like autumn is advancing rapidly at the moment
Was delighted to see the wildflower beds were still in bloom and that the poppies looked magnificent.
I'd taken some photographs of them a couple of months ago and had been disappointed with the results.
Not today, in the half shade from neighbouring trees, the poppies really came into their own, so l took this photograph with the avenue of trees in the background, so two for the price of one really.
Mr P did the school run with the girls this morning, then went for a run around a nearby reservoir.
We are doing the school run this afternoon as well.
Taking the two youngest to Skipton for their ballet lessons.
Then l'm meeting a friend for a pizza in Ilkley while Mr P goes to the athletic track in Leeds to train his athletes and to do some of the session himself.
Suppose this accounts for why we look like Jack Spratt and his wife!
