Holidays day 1...

Got the boat at Stranraerr for 11.30am to Belfast and then onto Robin Cottage, Old Ballyrobin Road, Antrum.

Its a strange sensation going in a lift on a ship, never done that before. Was a good crossing.

Its a lovely cottage, we are staying at.  Susie and Rob showed us around the cottage and introduced us to our visitors Daisy and Rambo.  Daisy came to the window every morning to say hello and Rambo said hello to us every evening.

Had a lovely meal at The Tannery - Moira.  I had crab & mussel linguine and then creme brulee with frozen grapes.

After dinner we went for a drive to Lough Neagh where we skimmed stones and witnessed the biggest hatching of insects we have ever seen.  They were great big plumes of bugs rising above the trees in the distance like smoke.  We think they were mayflies but were not sure.
