Inspiration

Flowers a bit scarce around here at the moment so l decided to miss FF this week.
Instead we went for a walk in Roundhay Park and had lunch in the boating house overlooking the lake.
We always visit the specialist gardens there for inspiration and they are never found lacking.
This is the Hesco Garden built in 2009 after the local floods of 2007 as an idea on how to make a water tolerant area.
The planting is so subtle and even the masses of hostas which had turned yellow put on a stunning display as they toned beautifully with all the golden Yorkshire stone.
