Mr. W's Race Car

Here's the beast that arrived in yesterday's tractor trailer.  It's been having a lovely time this morning zooming around the track here at Virginia International Raceway, and in about ten minutes it will commence its afternoon careening as Mr. W tests and tunes for tomorrow's race. 

Somehow, Mr. W's driver kit containing his helmet, suit, gloves, shoes, and (most importantly) his driving glasses never got loaded into the truck, and were left behind in New Hampshire!  Luckily there was a spare driver suit and shoes that fit, and he has borrowed someone's helmet until his kit arrives tomorrow morning via FedEx!  He told me it was a bit of a challenge to drive with his regular glasses this morning, because they're bifocals, and with the jigging and jogging of the car, he found himself sometimes looking through the reading portion of the lens, and sometimes through the distance portion!  Yikes.

I'm going to try to practice my panning skills this afternoon, and hopefully tomorrow I'll be able to get a half decent picture of the car and my favourite driver in action.
