Vesuvius

A trick learnt at Brownies. You can make a miniature volcano by mixing bi-carbonate of soda, vinegar and a little water. You can add food dye for a little extra colour. We could only find green.
A good ironing day today. No 2 decided to make a start on her ironing mountain and even volunteered to do No 3's. No 1's and mine were a step too far, but that's OK. All was going well, and there was even a call to No 3 to come and collect her ironing, an echo of her Mum. Then she came through to the kitchen to tell me that the iron had stop working properly. I asked if the light was still on, was it the fuse etc. No , she had dropped it on the floor, and burnt an iron shape in the carpet! Oh well!
