Brainiac

The wee man spent a good long time in the MRI machine over two sessions. Second time around they fired a contrasting agent into his bloodstream for good measure. And, as we all suspected, he is absolutely fine. He may suffer from migraines but hopefully he will know what's coming next time and can climb into bed.

As ever, the staff at the Sick Kids were fantastic and pitched all the information just right so we could both understand what was happening.

We had some down time in between sessions so I took him across the Meadows to my old offices. Of much more interest was the stop off at Victor Hugo's for cake.

Nearly got taken out by a madman on the A1 driving home but made it for steak pie and banter and a catch up with Mrs S who had been at the Doctor's with Ruby. The only child of ours who wasn't experiencing the NHS today was Eve and she was off school feeling poorly.  

Now it's time to open that bottle of red and catch up on Westworld and Gogglebox.
