A back blip of our last day visiting the Hawkes Bay region of the North Island of NZ

Main Photo
The central area of Hastings photographed in the evening light. Hastings, like nearby Napier was severely damaged in the 1931 earthquake and now features many Art Deco buildings.

Extra Photos
1: Ocean Beach looking towards Cape Kidnappers
2: Derelict Havelock North Power Station at Maraetotara showing the historic turbine house and concrete surge tower. It was opened 1922 and closed 1941.
3: Te Mata Peak from the northern side, in the morning light
4:  Te Mata Peak from the eastern side in the evening light. Te Mata Park, consisting of 242 acres was donated to the people of Hastings by the sons of John Chambers. The 360 degree view from the highest point are amazing

Thank you for your continued support of visits, comments, stars and hearts and my apologies for such limited time on blip at the moment. Everything is truely appreciated.
