Friends of the Earth

These are Powdery Earthcaps - Cystoderma amianthinum. It was one of the surprises on our Fungi Workshop today, being an unimproved grassland species. It was growing on the edge of a playing field in a local park. The workshop seemed to go well, although a bit more time to consolidate the learning at the end would have been useful, but that's always the way. On a sunny afternoon, staying out in the fresh air was preferable to going back indoors.
