Lowland Rescue training day

Jane and I had a lovely morning photographing the Warwickshire Search and Rescue team training day in Stratford.

Warwickshire Search and Rescue is a member of the Lowland Rescue organisation.   They are responsible for search and rescue in the non-mountainous areas of the country.  They may not have the high profile of the Mountain Rescue teams and therefore have more difficulty raising funds.  They are, however,  just as important being called out 2-3 times per month on searches.

They are totally staffed by unpaid volunteers.  I was impressed by the very structured way they ran the search exercise today.
