Painting With Plants

River of colour
Dissected leaves soft green/bronze
Japanese transplants

Amazingly no rain today.  I took myself off for a wander at the Tree Trust thinking I might snap a lamb to add to my spring pics.  Instead I got side tracked by this ribbon of colour at the Maple Grove.   The District council and the Tree trust have established this grove of Japanese maples to form a nationally significant  collection.  Our cool autumns, acid soils and light winds mean we can grow a wide range of species.
