The Flying Dutchman

We were out fairly early and after I had watched a lovely sunrise we went to Udale Bay to see the geese. Thousands were gathered further out and the sound was amazing as they took off in groups and ten either landed again or flew over the fields. It was warm and sunny and we stopped at KirkMichael to see how the renovations were coming along. It was great to see that the walls have been either rebuilt or maintained and even more exciting was the sight of a new roof, well I think it is the base for the slate tiles but it's surprising how different it looks from my blip on 21st May.
We went home for breakfast and then down to see the Flying Dutchman that was sailing up the Firth. The tide was really high and now there's a beautiful full moon outside.
