Sgwarnog: In the Field

Conkers

We managed the immense journey of two hundred yards to our local Horse Chestnut, in search of conkers.

Fallen fruit was providing slim pickings, so 12yo zipped home to retrieve a ten foot pole that we'd collected on a walk in the spring.I'm not sure we ever knew what it was, other than an impressive pole. Several dozen conkers later, we've established its true purpose.

And the sun came out to illuminate the autumn leaves.
