Mandurah Estuary

It took us just under an hour to drive to Mandurah from Perth, we ate our picnic lunch here by the Estuary, it was windy but the weather stayed dry and sunny.
We saw the helicopter in the distance flying over the wetlands where the waterbirds nest in and around the edges, the news on the TV tonight answered our question as to what he was doing circling here for such a long time, apparently we are in for a bad season of the mosquito, there were conservationists and health resources spraying the grounds in and around the wetlands to try to stem the outbreak, i hope they are successful.
